I was worried pure cotton would feel stiff, but this blanket came out of the wash soft and stays breathable even on warmer nights. It's light enough for summer but still keeps my daughter cozy, and the weave hasn't pilled after a month of daily use.
My toddler runs hot at night but this keeps him warm without waking up sweaty, which is exactly what I wanted from cotton. Washed it three times already and it hasn't pilled or shrunk.
The cotton really does breathe like they say, so I don't wake up sweaty the way I did with my old polyester throw. It's the perfect weight for lounging on the couch in the evening.
